For the last two years a Wilkes-Barre Township resident has been on a smile mission. And that smile mission is called NYC Smile 4 Me. Chris Bohinski, also known as Boh the Smile Guy, created NYC Smile 4 Me to share the things that make folks smile. As his website states, “NYC Smile 4 Me's mission is to spread happiness, positivity, and joy by chronicling Boh the Smile Guy asking the same 4-word question to everyone he meets, “What makes you smile?” When someone shares the thing that makes them smile, Bohinski calls that their #SmileStory.
One of the most popular aspects of this smile mission is a video web series that follows Boh the Smile Guy asking that 4-word question on numerous red carpets at film premieres, Broadway show opening nights, award shows, philanthropic events, and black-tie galas. Bohinski has interviewed people like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rosie Perez, Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman. On special occasions Boh the Smile Guy’s mom, Momma Boh, joins him as a co-host.
