Senator John McCain Smiles 🇺🇸

Transformation Tuesday: Regardless of political affiliation, isn't it funny how the universe works? Back in 2008, while still in high school, I had the honor of singing our National Anthem for Senator John McCain at one of his last rally stops before the November 2008 presidential election. It was thrilling to watch the University of Scranton get filled to maximum capacity as the start time neared & share this special moment with my parents as we got to meet John and his daughter Meghan. 🇺🇸

A few years later in 2011 my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor; a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). He passed away in 2013 after a courageous battle with it. In 2017, Senator McCain was diagnosed with that same type of tumor. As Senator McCain continues his brave fight, I pray that the advances in science allow him to recover & get stronger every single day. 🙏

Being open to life's unexpected twists and turns is my #SmileStory because it reminds me that life is full of surprises and serendipity. 😊
