Beach Smiles

A stranger snapped this candid photo, as I was preparing to smile for the one I asked him to capture. This was my first "trip" somewhere since mom passed away, ironically to the place she had been talking about taking me for the past few years on a day-trip. Now as I begin to navigate life post full-time caregiving, I smile because I know both mom and dad were with me on that beach, enjoying this moment with me from Heaven.
