Tattoo Design and Meaning

My 1st Tattoo...and guess what? It DID NOT hurt! Like seriously, it didn't hurt one bit! So here's the meaning behind this tattoo that I designed. ✍️

Philippians 2:3 is a bible verse that my dad gave to me when I was very young as a guide for me to live by for the rest of my life. The verse is, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself." The text on this tattoo is his EXACT handwriting he once wrote to me in a letter. My mom always reminded me to smile when she would watch me perform or really in any activity, and most recently was my biggest supporter & #1 fan with all things smiles including SmileStory℠. The smiley face on this tattoo is an EXACT smiley face she once drew for me. The Great Blue Heron has always represented our family and the love we all have for one another. It is something that always makes us happy when we see it and reminds us of our ability to fly yet also be still in the waters of life. This forward facing blue heron silhouette is the EXACT outline of a bird I photographed during my first birdwatching excursion after both dad & mom's passing. The location of the tattoo is the inside of my right leg, below my calf, and that is to remind me that mom & dad will always be with me as I continue traveling along my path and my journey in life. 🛣

And to top it all off, I just happened to schedule and get this tattoo on World Kindness Day! Thank you Bruce Fairchild of Triple6 Tattoos for your masterful talent and Kitty Crystal for the tattoo artist recommendation. 🦵
